Now I mostly watch the anime because I’m lazy, but 7 years ago at the peak of my naruto phase I read the manga religiously. I tried to buy a konoha headband and kunai set at one point I was in so deep.
somebody talk to me about naruto I got sucked back in so easily
ANOTHER FANFICTION RECOMMENDATION~
I used to do a lot of Avengers fic recs, and now I’m going back to my roots. (Past recommendations are here) While organizing my bookmarks I came across this gem, which is pretty much everything you’d ever want in a Thor and Loki-centric post-Avengers fic.
Summary: Thor takes Loki back to Asgard in chains, but this does not mean that the god of mischief’s schemes are ended, or that Thor has or ever will give up on his brother. But when Thanos threatens the realm to claim his lost prizes, on which side will Loki fall?
Word Count: 147317 (ya it’s a long one)
This story is basically the author spitting out feels and fan theories in the form of fic but it’s so well written and epic that you really can’t complain. And there’s really! good! characterization!
Honestly this fanfic is what Thor 2 should have been.
EYY NARUTO FANFIC RECOMMENDATION
I’ve been getting back into Naruto (or at least the Naruto fandom) recently, and it’s all thanks to this author’s fanfics.
This fic focuses on Mikoto Uchiha growing up in Konoha, and how she came to know Minato and Kushina. The story deals with sexism, politics, and coming of age, and is a fascinatingly realistic look into the Naruto universe.
Word count: 20220
Before reading this I didn’t really care about these characters, but after I wished canon had given them more screen/page time. The author’s characterization of Mikoto (of all the characters actually) is complex and intriguing and I think Kishimoto could learn a thing or two from them.
This fic is part of their The Legend of God’s Eyes series. Maybe I’ll do a rec for the main story later, but I think this shorter side story stands on its own.
trying to overcome art block with the girls from that nonexistent yuri roller derby anime.
having to use your own art as reference cause you forgot how to draw
